Taylor Swift Tickets – Still Fearless, Even With Controversy

No matter what she does or how she sounds (even on Grammy night), Taylor Swift will still be the reigning queen of country for the next few years. Though the star was widely criticized for her off-key performance during Grammy night, croaking along with Stevie Nicks the Fleetwood Mac hit “Rhiannon,” Swift still managed to take home four Grammy Awards (including Album of the Year).

Now she’s promoting the new Valentine’s Day single. The “fairytale” treat was written for her first silver screen appearance and is the classic hum that Swift has become recognized for. Defended by her record label head Scott Borchetta, he said to The Tennessean that “she is the undisputed best communicator that we’ve got. When she says something, when she sings something, when she feels something, it affects more people than anybody else.” The result keeps http://www.stubhub.com/ selling Taylor Swift tickets into the next year.

Though Borchetta went on to say that Swift might not be “the best technical singer,” he counteracted that statement by saying she’s “probably the best emotional singer because everybody else who gets up there and is technically perfect, people don’t seem to want more of it.” Throughout this entire mess Swift has managed to keep quiet, an act she has perfected since Kanye West stole the microphone from her last year. Still, the young teenager has something many other artists today don’t have – poise. Handling herself better than many other artists who have been in the industry for years, this young 19- year-old star has faced rumors linking her to collaborator John Mayer and radio DJs who just won’t quit.

In promotion of her sophomore album Fearless, which has gone platinum in several different countries, the Wyomissing, Pa. native recently wrapped up her Australian tour as she heads off to Japan to accept her first gold album. The Australia press hailed Swift as “a true pop princess whose charisma and sheer innocence was mesmerizing,” as Swift struts around the stage sans Gaga-like ensembles or Britney dance moves and performs the music that everyone seems to love.

While Swift paraded around the country down under with praise from all over, she equally earned her status back home, picking up two Kids’ Choice Awards nods for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Song (”You Belong with Me”). Meanwhile, radio stations have been blasting “Today was a Fairytale” following the premiere of the flick Valentine’s Day in early February, as the tune helped to sell the film’s soundtrack.

One of the most popular country crossover acts of this decade and probably the next, Swift first premiered with her Big Machines Records tune “Tim McGraw.” The tune captured the attention of audiences everywhere, especially when she performed the hit during the Country Music Awards in 2007 after her self-titled debut appeared.

Now, after opening for big named country acts, she’s headlining her own tour before the November 2008 release of Fearless. The set didn’t just break her previous records standings but also shattered every other record that year as she became the top performer in all genres with two ACM Awards, five American Music Awards, five CMAs, two CMTs and an MTV Video Music Award. She continues to promote the multi-platinum set around the world, remaining “fearless” of all obstacles.
